Water Leak/Road Hazard Lochee St/Bay View Tce

Residents who live close to or who have travelled through the corner of Lochee Street and Bay View Tce will be aware of a water leak that occurred last night that is affecting the road surface.

A burst water pipe has caused hazardous damage at the entrance to the Mosman Park Bowling Club and secondary damage to Bay View Terrace (southbound) adjacent to the Bowling Club (near the intersection of Lochee Street).

The Town has engaged contractors to fix the pipe (as a first priority) and will then make necessary repairs to the road asphalt.  The expected finish date for all works is expected to be no later than Friday 31 March 2017.

While these urgent works are being undertaken, detour signs are in place to redirect traffic away from that area.

Residents and visitors are requested to observe those signs and avoid the area if possible until the works are complete.

We thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
