The Town of Mosman Park supports schools in their sustainability and environmental initiatives. Young people are our next leaders, and will have an important role in addressing urgent environmental and sustainability issues.
Effective education for sustainability in schools is more than just a curriculum issue. Being a sustainable school covers all aspects of the school’s operations including:
1. Teaching and learning
2. Resource and school grounds management
3. Conserving biodiversity
5. Networks and partnerships
Sustainable Schools Booklet
The WESROC Sustainable Schools booklet is full of ideas and inspiration on how your school can save water, reduce energy use, enhance biodiversity, encourage walking and cycling to school, increase recycling, manage waste and link to the wider community. It also contains examples of sustainability initiatives undertaken by schools in the Western Suburbs.
