Latest planning projects

Planning Services is responsible for the orderly and proper planning of the Town in the context of the planning framework established by the State Government. This includes creating a vision for the desired future urban form of the area, translating this vision into planning provisions and to administer the Town’s Local Planning Scheme.

At the strategic level (longer term), the focus of the planning section is to update and where necessary revise the Town’s Local Planning Scheme, Strategy and Town specific Local Planning Policies that guide development.
