Dog theft awareness

The Town of Mosman Park has recently been notified of several attempted dog thefts that have taken place at Mosman Beach.

While the responsibility for handling such incidents lies with the WA Police, the town is deeply concerned about the safety of its community.

To ensure the safety of everyone, the town is urging residents to be more vigilant and take appropriate measures to protect their dogs. Dog owners are reminded to keep their pets on a leash in areas where it is mandatory, and to remain watchful of any suspicious activities around them.

In addition, the Town urges all residents to keep an eye out for their neighbours’ pets and report any suspicious behaviour to the police without delay. If you suspect that your dog or someone else’s dog has been taken, please call WA Police immediately on 131 444.

Crime prevention is a community effort and therefore requests residents to be more proactive in keeping their neighbourhoods safe. So, remember, if you see something suspicious, say something.

Together, we can make Mosman Park a safer place for everyone.
