Grass Tree Controlled Burning at Mosman Park Golf Course 9-10 October

Residents should be advised that the Town of Mosman Park will conduct a small and controlled burn of approximately 50 grass trees at the Mosman Park Golf Course.

These measures are being undertaken in order to preserve the health of the grass trees, and in order to secure their health into the future, the Town has commissioned Grasstree’s Australia and DFES (Department of Fire and Emergency Services) to conduct a controlled burn on the above mentioned trees.

On Monday 9 October at 8.30am, contractors will begin the burning of these grass trees, with work expected to be completed by Tuesday 10 October 2017.  Works will occur between 8.30am and 3:00pm during this period.

During this period the Mosman Park Golf Course will be closed to the public as a large volume of smoke will be generated from this activity.  All roads will remain open for vehicle traffic.

We advise residents who live in properties adjoining the Golf Course to close all windows, switch off air-conditioning, cover pools and remove items from clothes lines for the duration of the burnoff period (9-10 October 2017).

The Town would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during this process and apologies for any inconvenience that may be caused.
