Mosman Park’s Own YACtivate! Heads to Kwinana Where Young People From Around Western Australia Can Learn and LOL

More than eighty young people from Youth Advisory Councils across Western Australia will be gathering in Kwinana to share ideas and inspiration at next month’s YACtivate! youth event.

YACtivate!, which is now in it's third year, was the brainchild of the Mosman Park Youth Advisory Council (MPYAC) that brings together civic-minded young people, inspiring youth leadership from around the State.

This year the event will be hosted by the Augusta - Margaret River, Kwinana, Busselton and Mosman Park Youth Advisory Councils who have put together an exciting program featuring motivational speaker and 2018 WA Youth Ambassador, David Castelanelli.

Town of Mosman Park Councillor and co-creator of the original YACtivate, Cr Georgie Carey, has encouraged young people from around WA to support the event.

“The idea behind YACtivate! is to bring Youth Advisory Councils from across WA together for a day of networking, learning and laughter.  These events are a lot of fun, they bring like-minded young people together and inspire lots of great ideas for future projects.  It also helps young people from the cities to learn from those in regional and rural areas, to build an understanding of the various issues we all face,” Cr Carey said.

This year’s YACtivate! will be held on Sunday 12 August 2018 at the Youth Zone Kwinana. Bookings are available online here and close Friday 3 August 2018.
