Attending a Council meeting

Members of the public are invited to attend Council meetings.

Community members are welcome to ask questions and make deputations during the allocated time.

Please fill out the appropriate forms linked below and submit them to the Town by 4pm on the day of meeting.

Agenda Forum

An Agenda Forum is held every third Tuesday of each month. The meeting allows elected members to discuss items in a public forum and leads to effective decision making. The meeting provides a chance for elected members to request additional information and clarification. Formal decisions are not made at this forum. Members of the public are invited to attend and ask questions

Ordinary Council Meeting

An Ordinary Council Meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Council makes formal decisions at Ordinary Council Meetings. These meetings are open to the public. The Mayor presides over the meetings and runs them in accordance with the provisions of the Town’s Meeting Procedures Local Law 2010.

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee is responsible for overseeing auditing, corporate governance and risk management. An Audit Committee is generally held quarterly

Special Council Meeting 

Special Council Meetings can be called to discuss a particular item of business. The meetings are held on an as-needs basis throughout the year.
