Abandoned shopping trolleys

Shopping trolleys taken outside of shopping precincts can be hazardous and unsightly. Abandoned trolleys often obstruct the road or footpath and have the potential to cause damage to property.

How do I report an abandoned shopping trolley?

To ensure abandoned trolleys are collected as quickly as possible, the Town encourages residents to report all trolley sightings direct to their respective collection service. These services are solely dedicated to collecting abandoned trolleys and provide a rapid deployment of collectors to remove trolleys shortly after they are reported.

If the trolley is from:

IGA

Residents are encouraged to report the sighting direct to IGA by contacting the nearest IGA Store.

How to Contact IGA Supermarkets

Coles

Residents are encouraged to report the sighting direct to Coles. The Coles abandoned trolley department can be contacted by phone on 1800 TROLLEY (1800 876 553), via the ‘Abandoned Trolley’ page on their website or through the Coles App, available from Google Play and the App Store.

If the store responsible for the trolley isn’t in the above list OR a report has been lodged and the trolley hasn’t been collected after 3 days, please contact the Town’s Ranger Services team on (08) 9383 6600 or via email to admin@mosmanpark.wa.gov.au

What else is being done to remedy this issue?

To proactively assist in addressing this ongoing problem, the Town’s Rangers routinely report abandoned trolleys and liaise with shopping centres as required.
