West Metro Recycling Centre, Shenton Park

The West Metro Recycling Centre allows Mosman Park residents to safely dispose of items that:

  • are not suitable for kerbside collection;
  • exceed weekly kerbside collection amounts; or
  • are considered hazardous or problematic.

The Centre accepts the following types of items:

  • Domestic Recyclables (cardboard, bottles, aluminium and steel cans etc);
  • General Household Waste;
  • Clean Green Waste;
  • Household Hazardous Waste (asbestos, batteries, paint, unknown chemicals, flammable solids and liquids etc);
  • Problematic Waste (plastic bottle lids, mattresses, tyres, scrap metal etc); and
  • Construction and Demolition Waste.

While many items are accepted free of charge, some items require a fee for recycling or disposal. Head to the West Metro Recycling Centre Fees and Charges page for associated costs.

Please call the Recycling Hotline (08) 9384 6711 if you have any questions.

Waste and Recycling Guide and Waste Passes

Waste and Recycling Guides will be mailed out to residential properties at the start of the financial year (1 July). Your Waste Passes will be attached to the first page of the Guide.

Waste Passes can only be used once and must be presented at the time of redemption. Each pass will allow you to drop off a small trailer load (about 1m³ which is equivalent to a 1.8m x 1.2m trailer filled to about 0.5m) of the specified waste type.

Your 2026/2027 Waste and Recycling Guide will be mailed out in early July, separate to the property rates notice. Please keep your Guide as it contains important information about your bin collection days, the Verge Valet, and much more.
