COVID-19 Information Updates

Keep up to date with what the Town is doing in response to the novel coronavirus situation.

Verge Registration

Applying to have your verge registered can be a benefit to you in a couple of ways.

The registration of the Council verge at the front of your property means that vehicles, including vehicles belonging to the household, are not permitted to park on the verge.

When your application is approved you are required to purchase a Registered Verge, No Parking sign from the Administration Centre which incurs an annual fee for continued registration. This give you the ability to request the Ranger to inspect the verge and issue a notice to the owner of the vehicle to have it moved or not park there again.

Verge registration falls under the Parking Facilities Local Law 2012-3.1 (3) (b). The location of your registration sign should be close to the boundary and/or secured to the street tree trunk, without causing damage. The signs are not to be nailed onto Street Trees.  Examples of how these signs can/should be displayed are below.

If you wish to apply to have your verge registered, complete this form and return the Administration Centre or via email to
