Town of Mosman Park achieves Four Ribbon RoadWise Council status

The Town of Mosman Park is proud to announce it has been awarded an additional RoadWise Ribbon at the 2026 WALGA Local Government Awards, officially recognising the Town as a four ribbon council under the WALGA RoadWise Recognised initiative.

This achievement reflects the Town’s continued commitment to a proactive, systems-based approach to road safety, engaging Elected Members and staff across the organisation and delivering initiatives that contribute to a safer local road network.

Ongoing road safety training for Elected Members and relevant staff continues to reflect the Town’s commitment to a proactive approach and the adoption of the Safe System Approach, in line with the National Road Safety Strategy’s goal of eliminating road deaths and serious injuries.

The Town continued to deploy SAM (speed radar trailer) units and temporary radar signage across the community to raise driver awareness, with the temporary signage kindly made available free of charge through WALGA RoadWise.

The RoadWise Ribbons recognise local governments that take a holistic approach to road safety, engaging staff and Elected Members across the organisation and delivering initiatives that contribute to a safer local road network.

The Town will continue to plan, implement and share road safety actions in partnership with WALGA’s RoadWise program to make Mosman Park’s roads safer for everyone. Looking ahead, the Town is committed to working with Main Roads to lower speed limits along Glyde Street.
