Our capital works projects

Glyde Street Stage 1 Landscape Works

Parking arrangements

Approximately 3-4 bays directly in front of the active work area will be coned off at a time. This is a rolling closure that moves with the works – bays are reopened as soon as they’re no longer needed.

  • Only bays on the northern side, next to the work zone, are affected – all other parking on Glyde Street stays open.
  • Cones and flagging will clearly mark affected bays, per the approved Traffic Management Plan.
  • Usage of Parking Bays for works will be kept to a minimum, where practicable.

 

Minimising disruption to businesses

We’re committed to keeping impact on local businesses to a minimum, with works sequenced so no property is disrupted longer than necessary.

  • UGC Group will contact each affected business directly before works reach their frontage, to discuss access and needs.
  • We’ll tailor bay timing, delivery windows and detours around your business needs wherever possible.
  • Driveway access will be kept clear as far as practicable, with traffic staff on hand to assist vehicles in and out.
  • Let us know early about events or peak trading periods so we can plan around them.

 

What to expect on site

  • Traffic cones, flagging and high-visibility site staff around the work zone.
  • Occasional noise and dust from demolition, earthworks and paving.
