McCabe Street road works
Sewer works along McCabe Street are anticipated to finish on 16 October, instead of the previously advised completion date of the end of September. Works will take place Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 6pm. 138 metres Sewer of new Water Corporation sewer pipeline is being installed between Hayes Terrace and Palmerston Street.
There are no changes expected to the level of disruption or access arrangements currently in place. Works will continue under the same traffic management arrangements, including the existing road closure so there should be no additional interruption to the community as a result of this extension.
Why are these works taking place?
These works are an important part of upgrading the local wastewater network to support both existing and future sewer requirements. They will also help facilitate the broader improvements being delivered as part of the redevelopment at the Rocky Bay site.
How will the sewer works impact me?
- Temporary single and occasional dual-lane road closures will be in place.
- There will be a temporary increase in noise, dust, vibration and construction activity.
- Traffic management will be in place to maintain safe access for road users, pedestrians and workers.

Bus Stop ID 19666 (East) will remain operational at all times, however bus stop ID 19667 (West) will remain close during the construction period (no changes to existing setup).

Mosman Park Primary School carpark works
From Monday 5 October, works will commence on the new Mosman Park Primary School carpark in the Solomon Street road reserve between Lochee Street and Victoria Street.
During construction:
• There will be no vehicle access from the southern side of the current Solomon Street carpark.
• Footpaths closest to the school, extending to the end of Solomon Street, will be closed.
• Pedestrian access to the eastern side of the school will be via the pathway near the teachers’ carpark and a temporary pathway near Alf Adams Pavilion.
• Kindergarten access will be via a temporary pathway from Davis Oval.
Please follow all temporary signage and directions around the worksite and keep clear of construction areas.
Works are expected to be completed during Term 1, 2027.
