Park goers, dog walkers and local sporting clubs can look forward to a brighter and safer Davis Oval when the new sports lights are installed in April. is The future of Davis Oval is set to look brighter with the installation of two new light poles for the benefit of sporting clubs and park users after dark.
Following community consultation including workshops with surrounding residents over the past 18 months, two new lights will be installed in the south-east quadrant of Davis Oval.
The majority of the project is being funded by the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) grant funding program and represents the collaborative effort between the Town and the local community.
Below are the anticipated project timeframes. Site works will begin in early February 2023, with project completion and handover expected in late April.
There will be minimal impact to park users while these works are undertaken.
