Have Your Say: Draft Local Planning Policy on Views of Significance

The Town of Mosman Park are inviting the community to provide secondary feedback on the draft Local Planning Policy No. 40 – Views of Significance, following valuable input received during the first round of consultation.

The updated draft policy sets out how the Town will assess development proposals that may affect important local views, helping to ensure that our natural landscapes, heritage sites, and key sightlines are protected for current and future generations. Protecting these views is an important part of maintaining the character and liveability of Mosman Park.

In this round of consultation, we are also seeking feedback on a new idea: the potential creation of a one-off aerial 3D map. This innovative tool would help guide development and preserve view corridors across the Town, providing a visual reference for both Council and the community. Your input will help us decide whether this investment would be beneficial.

We encourage residents, property owners, and all community members to take a look at the updated draft policy and share your thoughts. Feedback can be submitted via our Your Say page: yoursay.mosmanpark.wa.gov.au/lpp40

Consultation for the draft policy will close on 13 February 2026. Every feedback and comment matters – your voice helps shape planning decisions and ensures Mosman Park remains a place that balances growth with the preservation of its unique character.

Thank you for taking the time to have your say and contribute to the future of our Town.
