Council one step closer to deciding future of Memorial Hall

The Town of Mosman Park is currently in talks with interested stakeholders to map out a sustainable future for Memorial Hall.

Several parties have expressed interest in utilising Memorial Hall to deliver programs and services for the Mosman Park community.

Public consultation earlier this year on the future use of Memorial Hall generated 358 responses from the community and interested stakeholders.

Following MosArts recent decision to move on from Memorial Hall, Mayor Paul Shaw expressed gratitude for MosArts’ 20-year contribution to the community’s vibrant arts program.

“Not only are we committed to preserving this historic and iconic building, but we’re also keen to ensure MosArts’ legacy lives on by supporting diverse arts and culture in Mosman Park,” says Mayor Shaw.

“Over 95% of those surveyed told us we need to support Mosman Park’s unique arts and culture scene.

Council will strive to meet these community expectations while considering the amenity of the nearby residents”.

Council will review recommendations on the future use of Memorial Hall once the stakeholder consultation is complete.
