Help us protect our local heritage in Mosman Park by nominating a new heritage property or updating us on your current one.
The Town is reviewing all existing heritage listed properties in our Municipal Heritage Inventory (MHI) and we invite all landowners and/or residents to nominate any properties or places in Mosman Park that you believe should be added to the Local Heritage Survey (LHS).
Since our last MHI was prepared and adopted in 2014, legislation has been revised from the Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990 to the Heritage Act 2018. The Heritage Act 2018 requires all local government authorities in Western Australia to survey all places in regard to heritage, and to periodically update that survey.
In response to this requirement the Town is reviewing the 2014 MHI to create a LHS.
If you are a landowner and/or occupier of a property listed within the current MHI and wish to provide further feedback on the accuracy of your heritage place record, we want to hear from you!
Please complete the “Update my existing Heritage Place Record” HERE by no later than 5pm on Sunday 4 December 2022.
As an owner/occupier or someone who appreciates heritage within the Town, you may have insight about a property or place that you consider is worthy of heritage protection. Your nomination will assist the Town and our specialist heritage consultant to assess new places and make recommendations to Council.
To submit your nomination, please complete a “Local Heritage Survey Nomination Form” HERE by no later than 5pm on Sunday 4 December 2022.
Information Session
The Town will hold an information session on Wednesday 16 November 2022. To register click here
Once the LHS process is complete, the Town will also be developing a new Local Planning Policy (LPP) about heritage. The new LPP will assist the Town to:
- Determine the Town’s heritage conservation policies; and
- Achieve the heritage conservation objectives required by the State planning regulations.
