Memorial Gates Restored in Memorial Park
Have you noticed the beautifully refurbished Memorial Gates in Memorial Park on your morning walk?
These historic gates have now been carefully restored and reinstalled, marking the completion of a significant project to preserve an important part of the Town’s heritage.
Originally dedicated in 1935, the gates were gifted by the RSL Sub-Branch Ladies Committee as a tribute to those who served in World War I. For nearly 90 years, they have stood as a powerful symbol of remembrance and respect within the community.
Following meticulous refurbishment, the gates have been returned to their place in Memorial Park, where they will continue to welcome visitors and offer a space for quiet reflection for generations to come.
The Town extends its sincere thanks to the Mosman Park RSL Sub-Branch for their ongoing support in helping protect and celebrate this valued piece of local history.
