Planning team receives prestigious PIA WA commendation

The Town of Mosman Park is proud to announce that our Planning Services Team has received a Commendation at the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA WA) Awards for Excellence in the Band 2–4 Local Government category.

Band 2–4 includes councils of varying scale and complexity, and as one of Perth’s smallest metropolitan local governments, this recognition is particularly meaningful. While modest in size, Mosman Park is diverse, green, and inclusive, and our planning work continues to reflect these values.

The judges highlighted the team’s strong, professional, and well-rounded approach to planning and town management. This includes their focus on collaboration, delivery, positive stakeholder relationships, and high-quality urban design outcomes. Recent projects, such as the Glyde Street upgrade, demonstrated the team’s proactive engagement, attention to detail, and dedication to balancing community aspirations with local business needs, creating a vibrant and accessible public realm.

The Planning Services Team is also committed to professional growth, wellbeing, and work-life balance. Team members actively contribute to the Planning Institute of Australia through forums, mentoring, networking, and professional development, fostering a workplace culture that supports both people and progress.

Congratulations to our Planning Services Team on this well-deserved commendation!
