If you have a new construction project on the horizon, there’s good news.
Anyone planning a new build in Mosman Park may be eligible for a fee reduction under Local Planning Policy No. 39 – Sustainable Development.
The Town has introduced a Green-Save discount on planning application fees for new builds that go above greening standards, as outlined in LPP39.
This initiative is part of our commitment to encouraging environmentally sustainable practices across the Town – making it easier and more affordable for residents and developers to choose green.
The Green-Save discount is a reduction applied to your planning application fee when your proposed new build can demonstrate that it exceeds minimum requirements of the R Codes or the Town’s landscaping or tree preservation policy requirement.
The discount is available to applicants lodging a planning application for a new residential or commercial build within the Town of Mosman Park.
Mayor Paul Shaw said Green-Save is designed to reward applicants who go above and beyond baseline building requirements to reduce environmental impact.
“By offering a financial incentive through the Green-Save discount, the Town is making it easier to choose sustainable options from the very start of a building project.”
“Mosman Park is a community that values its local environment – from our tree canopy and coastal areas to our urban streetscapes. Every new build is an opportunity to contribute positively to that environment.”
Applying for the Green-Save discount is straightforward. Simply follow these steps when preparing your planning application:
- Review Local Planning Policy No. 39 – Sustainable Development to confirm your build meets the eligibility criteria.
- Prepare your planning application with supporting documentation demonstrating your build’s sustainable features.
- Lodge your application with the Town’s Planning & Development team and indicate you are seeking the Green-Save discount.
- The Town will assess your application and confirm fee reduction eligibility as part of the planning process.
