Town of Mosman Park launches Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

The Town of Mosman Park is set to embark on its reconciliation journey, following formal accreditation of the council’s first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) by Reconciliation Australia.

The Reflect RAP sets out a formal commitment by the Town to lay a foundation to honour our shared history with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as acknowledge their invaluable contribution to our places, people and communities. At its heart, the Reflect RAP enables the Town to explore opportunities and establish relationships with First Nations residents, Elders, and stakeholders.

The RAP also outlines key actions to achieve a unique vision for reconciliation and symbolises an important and proactive step the Town is taking in healing, knowledge sharing and truth telling; in line with the community’s aspirations from the Strategic Community Plan.

The Town of Mosman Park’s Reflect RAP was endorsed by Council in December 2022 and received accreditation from Reconciliation Australia in early 2023.
