The Town of Mosman Park is inviting residents, ratepayers, business owners and visitors to help shape the future of the community with public consultation on its new Council Plan.
Guided by community values and aspirations, the Council Plan will build on the progress the Town has made since the adoption of its Strategic Community Plan in 2021. Key achievements during this time include infrastructure upgrades, record tree planting, a landmark Local Planning Strategy, and the successful introduction of FOGO.
The Council Plan will provide a 10-year roadmap for Mosman Park’s future, setting a clear direction while remaining flexible enough to respond to changing needs and opportunities.
Mayor Paul Shaw said the plan would help ensure the Town continues to make purposeful, transparent decisions aligned with community priorities.
“Community input is essential as we plan for Mosman Park’s future. It will help us strengthen wellbeing, sustainability and livability, while embracing new ideas and responding to emerging challenges,” Mayor Shaw said.
“We want to hear from residents, ratepayers, business owners and visitors about what they value most, the challenges they see, and their aspirations for Mosman Park over the next decade.”
The community survey builds on extensive engagement already undertaken by the Town this year. In February, local residents and community members took part in a round-table workshop, representing a broad range of interests including local schools, sporting groups, businesses, environmental organisations and community groups.
In March, the Town also held focus group sessions, bringing together people from different age groups, life stages and business sectors to ensure a wide range of perspectives were captured.
These early conversations have highlighted the strength, diversity and connectedness of the Mosman Park community, and will help inform the draft Council Plan.
Community members are encouraged to complete the online survey and share their views. Hard copy surveys are also available at the Grove Library, Alf Adams Pavilion and the Town’s Administration Building. Consultation closes on 25 May 2026.
Feedback received will directly inform the development of the draft Council Plan, which is expected to be considered by Council by the end of 2026. For more information and to take part in the survey, click here
All submissions close 25 May 2026.
