We are giving residents and the wider Mosman Park community the chance to chat to Town of Mosman Park staff and learn how the newly endorsed 2021-2031 Strategic Community Plan will benefit them at a free community walk-through event in October.
The adoption of the SCP by councillors in September means Mosman Park is another step closer to its first Reconciliation Action Plan and a Town Centre plan for Glyde Street. Other initiatives include addressing climate change, the introduction of the FOGO system and red tape reduction for local businesses.
Almost 800 Mosman Park residents had a say in the major review of the SCP as part of the Town’s most significant consultation initiative in its 62-year history. A local resident also established the vision for the new SCP.
Acting Town Chief Executive Officer Gray Stead said the community’s input has been vital and valuable during the major review of the SCP, but the Town intends to keep the conversation going with residents.
“We’re inviting residents, small businesses and the Mosman Park community to drop into the event, celebrate our collaborative achievements, and chat about the exciting future we’re planning for Mosman Park,” Stead said.
“Our 2021-2031 Strategic Community Plan sets a blueprint for the next 10 years in Mosman Park and ensures Council decisions are strategically aligned with the Plan’s big-picture vision and aspirations.”
The community walk-through will take place at Town Administration on Thursday 21 October from 4pm-6pm. Refreshments will be provided at the free drop-in event. Community members will also have a chance to chat to Town staff about upcoming projects in the Town.
Councillors unanimously endorsed its 2021-2031 Strategic Community Plan at a Special Council Meeting in September.
