Christmas is coming to Mosman Park with a free outdoor movie event this December

Mosman Park residents can look forward to a free community Christmas event in the park in December with a special screening of the animated holiday classic The Grinch.

A big outdoor screen will light up Tom Perrott Reserve on Saturday 14 December, with free popcorn and fairy floss on offer for all families.

Food and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available for purchase from local food trucks.

Mayor Paul Shaw said the Town’s first-ever Christmas event under the stars aims to foster a community spirit in the lead-up to the holiday season.

“With December a challenging time for some, this family-friendly event is a great way to connect with your local community and celebrate the joy of the festive season together.”

“Come early, grab a bite, and settle in for a special night with a movie that promises plenty of laughs and fun among young and old,” said Mayor Shaw.

Gates open from 6pm, with the movie promptly screening at 7.45pm.

Movie goers are encouraged to bring their own picnic, a water bottle and other eco-friendly items to this alcohol-free event.

Don’t forget to pack a picnic blanket, deck chairs, or cushions for seating. Access to public toilets at David Jones Pavilion will be available on the night.

There will be plenty of free parking including ACROD bays. Movie goers are asked to avoid parking on nearby residential verges. Walking, cycling, or scootering to the event is highly encouraged.
