Council election ushers in a new era for Mosman Park

Congratulations to Robert Nash and Joshua Allsop who were announced as our newly elected councillors, with Georgie Carey re-elected for a further four-year term.

The count commenced shortly after 6pm on Election Day (Saturday 16 October) at the Town of Mosman Park Administration Building.

Our new councillors will be led by Mayor-elect Paul Shaw, who was elected un-opposed. A swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday 18 October, during which a Deputy Mayor will also be elected.

We farewell councillor Jenna Ledgerwood and outgoing Mayor Brett Pollock, who for many years have served on Mosman Park Council with commitment, integrity and dedication.

A full induction program will now begin for new councillors in the lead up to their first Council meeting. There will be a joint induction session where new councillors from Mosman Park and Claremont will hear presentations from McLeods and WALGA. A mock Council meeting is on the program, as is a presentation from the CEO and Chiefs and a bus tour of the Town.

Full election results, including votes received by each candidate are available from the Western Australian Electoral Commission.

Thank you to all candidates who nominated and everyone that took the time to vote in this year’s Local Government Election.
