Local Council Election to take place on 21 October

Six candidates will be vying for a place on Mosman Park Council, with four Councillor seats to be filled this year via the preferential voting system.

The next Local Government Election will take place on 21 October – one week after the Voice Referendum on October 14.

Postal voting packages will be mailed to all Mosman Park households who are on the electoral roll. Eligible voters have until 4pm on polling day to return their completed ballot papers to the Town’s Administration Building.

A ‘Meet The Candidates’ session will be held in early October (date to be confirmed soon) where the community members have the chance to meet the candidates and ask them questions.

Voting in a local government election is not compulsory in Western Australia, although all people eligible to vote are strongly encouraged to do so. Elections at the Town of Mosman Park are postal elections run by the Western Australian Electoral Commission.
