- Sunset Eats will take place on 23 October from 4pm to 8pm
- The street food event addresses a need for more community events in Mosman Park
- The event will be held on Solomon Street between Mann and Davis Ovals
Solomon Street will come alive in October thanks to a new food event by the Town of Mosman Park that aims to bring the neighbourhood together with a diverse line-up of food trucks in a friendly atmosphere.
Sunset Eats will activate a quiet strip between Mann and Davis Ovals with street food, live music, and activities for all ages.
Mayor Paul Shaw said the event is the first of its kind in Mosman Park, with the Town looking forward to being able to bring together the local community young and old.
“Our Strategic Community Plan identified an overwhelming need for more community events that appeal to all ages. It’s the first event we’ve held in a long time that is focused solely on getting people together of all ages and building community connections,” said Mayor Shaw.
“Sunset Eats is for all residents and visitors to Mosman Park, so bring a picnic blanket or kick the footy around on the oval. We’d love to run more events like this in the future if there’s community appetite for it.”
Sunset Eats is an alcohol-free event for all ages and dogs on leads are welcome. Nearby local businesses will also be open and trading as usual.
Limited parking will be available however people are encouraged to walk, cycle or carpool to the event.
