Town of Mosman Park begins search for new CEO

The Town has started its search for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the future-focused organisation with strategic vision and a strong community focus.

Recruitment company Beilby Downing Teal (BDT) has been appointed to assist Council in finding a new leader for the organisation. The role is being offered on a five-year contract and is advertised on BDT’s website, as well as on Seek, LinkedIn and in The West Australian newspaper.

“We are looking for a highly experienced executive with exceptional relationship-building skills and an unparalleled ability to inspire, advocate and lead creative, strategic initiatives,” Mayor Paul Shaw said.

“The CEO works closely and collaboratively with the Mayor and Council, and this will be one of the most critical decisions Councillors make this year.”

A Special Council Meeting was held on 10 September during which Councillors approved the CEO Selection Panel and appointed BDT as the recruitment agency to lead the CEO search.

Applications will be open for approximately three weeks, with the broader process expected to take up to 12 weeks to finalise. Applications close at 4pm AWST on Monday 21 October 2024.

Outgoing CEO Carissa Bywater will depart the organisation in late October after five successful years at the helm. The Town’s Administration will be led by an Interim CEO until the permanent CEO is appointed in early 2025.
