The Town of Mosman Park is on the hunt for local residents or groups who have new and innovative ideas that provide long term benefits to their community.
The second round of the 2022/23 Community Partnership Program (CPP) has re-opened, with grant funding available to individuals, small local businesses and not-for-profit organisation that are based in Mosman Park and /or provide a direct service to residents of the Town of Mosman Park. Individuals may apply for a maximum of $500. There is no maximum set for not-for-profit organisations.
Mosman Park resident Gareth and his 12 year old son Miles were awarded a grant during round 1 of the 2022/23 CPP. They plan to put the funds toward establishing Mosman Park’s first table tennis club for all ages.
“We would love for there to be a community of people in Mosman Park playing table tennis on a regular basis and maybe run some school holiday workshops,” said Gareth.
“We thought, ‘why not make our own club’ – that would be great for the Mosman Park community,” adds Miles.
Mayor Paul Shaw hopes to see creative and new ideas that can achieve the Town’s Strategic Community Plan aspirations – Connecting, Sustaining, Thriving.
“We would love to see vibrant, liveable, dynamic ideas that foster long-term community spirit and connection among the Mosman Park community,” said Mayor Shaw.
Other key factors that Council take into consideration when awarding grants include:
- New, innovative ideas or opportunities that support the well-being of the Mosman Park community
- Alignment to the Town of Mosman Park Strategic Community Plan
- Potential for long-term benefit to the Mosman Park community
- Requests for 50% or less of total project cost
Individuals and local groups are invited to apply. The Town’s Community Partnership Program is open for applications until 22 February 2023.
