However, there are a number of different activities that require special access or use of public or private events. Activities that require approval from Parks and Environment include:

  • Gate access for vehicles

If you require gate access to the park or reserve you will need to complete a Park/Gate Access Form, the Town will review your application and if access is approved organise the opening of the gate.

The Town strictly controls access to parks to ensure they are kept at a safe and acceptable condition for the entire community at all times, access for building or demolitions works will not be approved.

There is also concern with vandalism and accidental damage to assets such as trees, turf, irrigation and park furniture. As such there is to be no vehicle access, or events within any of the Towns parks or reserve without formal written permission from the Town.

Information relating to the requirements for these applications can be found on the application form, and fees and charges may apply.
